First reunion - feedback
Paivi Aljamaa -
Estonia
The start of the project
was so efficient. If it
goes on the same way we
can get great help to
improve the situation in
our schools. The
students’ active
participation was
amazing. It shows that
school is important for
them. If the parents are
as involved as the
students the final
result will be
satisfaction for all the
parts.
The organization was
great. Mariana and Laura
had done hard work for
the success of the
meeting. Thank you and
your students for your
hospitality. We felt
more than at home;
wonderful hotel,
museums, dinner, bus
tickets.
Anar Pajula-
Estonia
The project was really
good. I like the
Romanian people very
much. I realized that
the project was
necessary because it
helps us find
interesting answers and
that’s very good. These
3 days were very
exciting, I saw very
many new things and this
makes me very happy. I
liked this project and
this trip very much. It
was a great experience.
Best wishes!
Maris Laats-
Estonia
This project is very
well organized. It was
interesting to see how
the groups worked:
pupils and teachers
–together. It was
fantastic team work!
Thanks to all of you.
Everything was fine. We
worked hard and enjoyed
it! Now we can go on…
Thanks!
Nilufer Sani
Turkey
“I have very positive
opinions about this
project. Being here in
Romania, learning
different kind of things
is really nice. We
experienced different
things, for example the
food. We ate traditional
Romanian food. I want to
thank you for your
hospitality. Although we
have different kind of
lifestyles, religions,
traditions, we proved
that we can live
together in harmony.”
Suheyla Bozer-
Turkey
“The project was nice
and interesting. We
found out about the
problems of Romanian
students with their
families. In fact most
of us have the same
problems in Turkey.
Romanian people are
warm. I liked your town,
I ate traditional
Romanian food. Thank you
for everything.”
Mehmet Yildirim-
Turkey
“School, family and the
students are three main
important things for
Education. To make them
work in harmony is the
problem (as we saw in
this project). We worked
hard here with the
students and the
teachers but missed the
parents. I think in
Turkey that part will
participate much. I
appreciate all the
efforts of Mariana,
Laura, Turkish team and
the Estonian team.
Thanks God for letting
us remember once again
that we are all human
beings although we have
different religions,
cultures etc.”
Betul Uzun-
Turkey
“This project is my
second project and I am
so happy to be here
because it is very
important for us. It was
really interesting for
me. I learned lots of
things and I ate
different food. Romanian
people are friendly and
warm. Thank you for
everything.”
Dora Ghita XI C
“It was a wonderful
experience for me, a
first of this kind. The
fact that our opinions
can make a difference,
the fact that we, the
students had something
to say is very
important. We are the
future of this community
and it is our duty to
solve existing problems.
Together with our
teachers and involving
the local community we
can find solutions,
improve our society and
become better persons.
All over the world we
face difficulties but
together we can overcome
them and we can
eliminate future
problems.”
Vlad Barzanu XI
C
“You have chosen wisely
this theme that I
consider very actual and
important. I`m thankful
for being offered this
great opportunity to
meet new people, to get
in touch with different
cultures, to express
myself freely and to
learn so many things
about me and the society
that surrounds us.
Congratulations,
teachers, for a great
job and thank you.
Looking forward to
attending other similar
activities.”
Cimpean Mioara- XI C
“In my opinion
friendship is the most
important thing in a
humans’ life because a
person without friends
is like a soul without
love. During these days
I’ve got in touch with
new people, new cultures
and also new opinions.
We’ve talked about
school, parents and
students and it was an
interesting subject. I’m
very happy to take part
in this project.
Thousands of
congratulations for the
teachers involved in the
project.”
Ana Susca- XI C
“During these three days
as a team we have
created a great
atmosphere and this
project was a great
opportunity for all of
us to improve our
English and our
knowledge about the
relationship between
students, school, and
family. So the
activities were
interactive and of
course constructive.
We’ve got deeply into
understanding nowadays
problems and the fact
that we got closer to
the people from other
countries made me feel
as there were no
differences between us.”
Sanziana Lascu -
XC
For me this is the first
project in this school
and I’m very excited
that I could take part
in it. It was great to
spend all the time with
the girls from Turkey. I
learned a lot of new
things these days.
Teachers were nice with
us and for me it was
very important that
after this project I
realized how important
it is to communicate
with my parents and my
teachers and how
important it is the
relation between me, my
family and school. At
the final of the project
I can say that I’m very
happy because I met
peoples from Estonia and
Turkey and we did a
great job.
Florina Fanea - X E
It was the second
experience for me, and
both of them taught me
interesting things. The
girl from Turkey was so
beautiful, intelligent
and their culture
impressed me a lot. The
teachers were very
friendly and they have a
very special
relationship with their
students. This project
showed me that the
relationship between
school and parents is
very important and
useful. I had a great
time with the all teams;
we stayed together all
the time. This project
was even greater than
the other one and I will
work hard and I hope
I’ll go to Turkey. This
project was a work team
and we achieved great
things.
Silvia Pricope X C
These days were very
interesting, useful,
beautiful because we met
new people, children.
This project was useful
for me and for the
students from the
National College “Mihai
Eminescu”. For me, this
was the first project
which impressed me very
much because we could
express our opinions
about the relationship
between school and
family.
Anda Luana
Craciun XI B
I think that the first
step in changing
something is to believe
because the belief gives
us power. The project
revealed the fact that
we all - children,
family and teachers-
should be aware of the
importance of education.
The school is not just a
simple institution. The
school is a valuable
instrument the shapes
us, the children, in a
proper way. There always
has been a conflict
between generations and
this may be because of
the problems in the
teacher-child-family
relationship. We hope
that this project will
make a better future for
all of us.
Andreea Coman XC
It was a great project
because it was my first
project of this type. I
liked very much the
teams from Turkey and
Estonia. It was very
interesting because I
found out new
information and advice
in how to make us better
and to “teach” our
parents to come to
school to find about our
situation. I learned
that it is better to
communicate with parents
(more than I did until
now!) because they want
the best for us. I found
that the relationship
with our parents has to
be based on
communication,
sincerity, trust,
respect and than it will
be easy for us to
understand each other.
In the behaviour with
teachers I think it is
proper to show to your
teacher the respect that
she/he deserves. I want
to congratulate all the
participants involved in
this project beginning
with the coordinator of
this project Miss Laura
Szebeni, to our English
teacher, Mrs. Mariana
Hudrea, to my form
teacher Camelia Duta and
to all teachers involved
and especially to all
the students who were
involved. Thank you all
for this opportunity to
“make me better” and to
meet new people from
other countries. Thank
you all and
congratulation again! It
was wonderful!
Paula Cin - X C
For me, this project was
a very interesting
experience. I liked it
very much because we
found out a lot of
things about education
in other countries , as
Estonia and Turkey. The
film that we saw was
very interesting because
we all saw what a
beautiful country Turkey
is and it made us want
to visit this beautiful
country with very
sociable and friendly
people and great
customs. We are
different, but we are
facing the same
problems. I found out
the Estonian and Turkish
students are facing the
same problems as we do.
The most important thing
for me was that I
realized that if we work
in teams, we can solve
many problems. Together
we can change many
things and we can find
the right solution to
solve the problems. I
can say that I’m very
happy because I met new
people, students like
us. The teachers were
really great! I’m very
glad we could
communicate and express
our point of view. For
me this was the most
interesting experience
since I have been
studying in this
College, and for that I
want to thank to Miss
Laura Szebeni and Mrs.
Mariana Hudrea. They are
the best teachers in the
world!
Dan Tecar - IX C
In my opinion this
project was interesting
and attractive too,
because the subject was
the friendship between
parents and children. I
liked very much the
students from Estonia
and Turkey because they
were pretty and
communicative. I’m also
glad that I had the
opportunity to meet Anar.
Maria Jeler - X
C
These days were very
beautiful and I think
that what we did was
useful for me and for
our National Collage “
Mihai Eminescu”. I’m
glad that we
communicated with people
from other countries
like Estonia and Turkey.
This project was the
first project in which I
took part and I’m very
happy to meet new
persons. Working in
teams and training to
solve our scholar
problems was very
interesting, we could
share our opinion to our
teachers. I felt great!
Lia Hoban- XI G
My name is Lia, I’m from
the 11th form G and I
want to say that I loved
very much the topic of
this project “School and
Family”- these being the
most important things in
my life. All the people
were very friendly and
sociable. I like the
idea of crossing
barriers between
cultures and different
traditions. We must know
that we live in a unique
world and only if we
communicate , if we
change experiences and
ideas we can make the
first step towards a
better life. Now I will
appreciate more my
family because it’s
wonderful and I’m very
proud of me and of my
teachers. Thank you all!
Lia Hoban, Romania, 11 G
Alexandra Crisan-
XI C
It was a pleasure for me
to participate in this
project. Due to it, I
managed to meet new
people from Turkey and
Estonia and, for the
first time I didn’t feel
alone. I’ve learned
that, even from
different parts of the
world, we have the same
problems and we are
trying to solve them. I
believe that, together,
hand in hand, through
communication, we can
make a difference in the
world.
Thank you for this great
opportunity!!
Andreea Bindea-
XI C
This is the second
project in which I got
involved and it was as
beautiful and as
interesting as the other
one (with Italy).I’m so
glad that I met so
wonderful teachers and
students. I realized
that, even if we are so
different in our culture
and religion we have the
same problems related to
School & Family, but we
have different ways to
solve them. I think that
we’ve learnt a lot one
from another. Thank you
very much!
Andreea Auer- XI C
I’m very glad that I
finally decided to take
part in one of the
school’s projects and
also that I had the
chance to do it. It was
a great opportunity for
us. We had the chance to
improve our skills in
the field of team
working and to get in
contact with other
cultures and
mentalities.
The idea of getting
other countries involved
in our projects is
really great. I found
out that they have
mostly the same problems
as we do, and sincerely
I was surprised by it. I
have spent some great
and constructive moments
and I really want to
thank you for this.
Mara Butuza- XI
C
For me this was the
first experience of this
kind, but I have to
confess that I liked it
very much. I found this
project very attractive
and not at all boring! I
realized that even
though we speak
different languages, we
have different beliefs
or we have different
life styles; we all have
the same problems
regarding school and
family. I came to the
conclusion that
communication is the key
to all problems, because
if we communicate, we
express opinions about a
problem and together we
can find a solution.
I really hope that this
project will have good
results and I’m very
happy that I took part
in it.
Alexandra Vanci-
XI C
It was my first
experience of this kind
and it didn’t disappoint
me at all. I can’t deny
that these days were a
bit tiring; not as
something negative, but
as a result of our
involvement.
I liked a lot the fact
that I discovered how
great it is to work
together; that storm of
ideas made me feel a lot
more optimistic about
humanity…so here I am
talking about feelings.
So, this project is a
yin & yang formed from
feelings and ideal –
both- intense.
The other thing that
stunned me was how
easily I expressed
myself without taking
into account the thing
that there were teachers
with us, that we were
practically different
generations. It felt
like being one. Thank
you.
Adina Pop – XI B
This was my first
project of this kind.
These days were
excellent, we had great
foreigner guests. It is
an extraordinary project
and I think that the
relationship between
school and family is
extremely important for
us, the students. I
regret time passing by
so fast! I think the
project is a real
success and it’s very
helpful for us!
Alexandra Lucian
–XI B
I think this project is
very important for our
education and I found
amazing the way that
three different cultures
got together so well. I
am sure that this
project will have a
beneficial impact on our
life by improving the
relationship between all
parts involved in the
educational process:
teachers, students,
parents and local
community.
Cristina
Surducan- XI B
It was the first project
of this kind for me and
I’m very glad I had this
opportunity, to be
involved in such
activities. Although the
time was so short we
succeeded to learn new
things. My opinion is
that the most important
thing was to identify
the issues that affect
somehow our evolution.
It impressed me the fact
that different
communities, from
different countries have
the same problems and
similar mentalities. So
these days were great
for me and I hope that
our guests felt the same
. Thank you, teachers,
for giving us the chance
to be part of this
project; you managed to
make us come with joy
and happiness to school!
Reka Orban- XI B
My impressions after
these days they are very
strong in a positive
way, because I found out
new things about the
relationship between
school and family. I
hope that together, in a
big team, we will solve
some difficulties
encountered in this
relationship. We had a
really good time with
our guests from Turkey
and Estonia; I hope they
will come back in the
future! I’m glad that
I’m involved in this
project.
Xanta
Lukacsovits- X E
This project offered me
the opportunity of
meeting new people, new
cultures, and new
mentalities. I liked the
fact that we all worked
together like a big
team. I found out the
importance of some words
as EDUCATION and
RESPECT. I am sure that
this project will change
our perspective about
school and family and it
will help us clarify a
lot of aspects
concerning the
relationship between
them.
Berrin Peker –
Turkey
First of all, I am glad
to be here. I loved the
students and the
teachers! From the first
day I noticed that you
are a very warm people
and you behave very
friendly. The project is
very good, if we want to
have a good generation
coming, we have to work
hard about our students
and their problems. I
hope we will solve
difficulties this way.
The students worked very
hard these days! Thank
you all!
Camelia Duta- Ro
Fiecare proiect ti se
fixeaza in minte prin
ceva anume iar acesta
mi-a lasat in memorie
zumzaitul si
efervescenta salii de
lucru. Am simtit efectiv
cum schimbul de idei
ridica tensiunea in sala,
fiind prima data cand am
vazut ca toti elevii isi
pun mintea si sufletul
in a produce ceva comun.
Am trait greutatea
producerii a ceva bun,
agonia si extazul
nasterii unor idei bune.
Denisa Pintea – XI G
It is true that I’ve
been involved in many
projects, but this one
drew my attention in a
particular way. That’s
because the main idea of
the project is
extraordinary, it is
about a matter that
concerns us all: the
relationship between
teachers, student, and
families. Together we
can improve this
relationship for the
benefit of our future.
There were three days
full of activities, full
of constructive ideas
and we once again
noticed the importance
of working together as a
team.
Feedback – Project Reunion Turkey
Cristina Alexandra Surducan XI B (Romania):
“First of all I’m very glad to see so many beautiful things like Istanbul, Usak. But more than that, the kindness of the people was amazing. So, I’m really happy to see such people full of energy and who are very open-minded and always speak their mind. I find this project very useful in order to improve our relationship with our parents and our teachers. It is very surprising to see the culture, the tradition, the life-style of other people, even more if they are such a kind, open and great as the Turkish people are. So, thank you for being so nice with us, thank you for the way you treated us, and for the wonderful moments we spent here.”
Dora Ghita XI C
“Turkey is a wonderful country. I’ve seen beautiful places and I have done things I would have never had the chance to do if I were not involved in this project. I got the chance to see a very different culture, amazing traditions and breathtaking places. It was also the first time I traveled by plane! The Turkish people are very polite and friendly. My host and her family made me feel at home! They have a wonderful personality and wonderful customs and despite the fact that they are so different I felt like one of them! We are three cultures; Turkish, Romanian and Estonian, very different, far apart. But we share the same problems and difficulties. Thanks for this project School-Family- Community, and improving education with the help of parents is for a better community. We have the chance to open new paths, new ways of solving our problems and make a better world, if not for us, then for the future generations. I am very grateful to participate in this project. I am happy to have been here because I don’t know if I would have had the chance otherwise. The project is very important for all of us to help improve our chances for a bigger success in life and give shape to a better world.”
Silvia Pricope X C
“First of all, I want to say that I’m very happy to be here because I met new people and I saw new life-styles. This project was very useful for me because I learnt how to improve our relations between school, family and community. I’m also very happy that I’ve made new friends and I want to say that the Turkish are very friendly. Another important thing that I saw is the way teachers here kept their lessons. When the Turkish showed us the presentation of their country I said that I must come to see their country even if I was here before, but as a tourist.”
Andreea Coman, XI C, Romania
“First of all, I want to thank all the teachers, especially Mrs. Mariana Hudrea for giving me the chance to come to this beautiful country, Turkey, which is full of traditions and which has very friendly and lovely people.
I felt very good in Usak, the girl who hosted me was very friendly and I found in her a real friend. The atmosphere was great, especially the traditional food. We all visited Istanbul and Usak and I hope I’ll come back soon.
About the project I want to say that it is really successful because the teams from Romania and Estonia learned from the team from Turkey how we can make our parents come to school to see our grades and our situation.
It is the most important project in which I participated and from the beginning I liked very much the idea school-family-community. We learnt how to make parents become more involve in our education and to explain them that if they come to school at least twice a month it will help us very much to form our character and to be correct people.
The Turkish team explained us that if the parents involve in extra activities, if they have lunch with teachers, if they go in different trips, the relation between family and school will be better.
I want to thank again for this opportunity to visit Turkey and to take part in this beautiful and useful project. Thank you, all!”
Florina Fanea , XI E, Romania
“This type of project is a life-lesson, we discover new lands, traditions and we improve our English. The fact that people are so friendly makes you fell an important person. The project is very good because it is for our benefit and future, the fact that we could express ourselves and express our point of view makes us stronger and makes us believe in our forces. We could see how their life style is, we learnt more about their religion and traditions. With this project I have the chance to do things I have never done alone. I think this project prepares us for our future and it teaches us how we can solve problems, how to communicate and how to do team work. We spend a very beautiful and funny time with all the girls, we learnt a few words in Turkish. I was very impressed about their religion. This project makes me see life with other eyes and care more about my future. It was an experience I will never forget.”
Laura Szebeni, Romania
“The second reunion of the project “Higher Quality in Education with Family Support” was a real success, in my opinion. People involved in the project worked together as a team, Estonian, Romanian and Turkish people, no matter if they were teachers or pupils, because the issue has the same great importance for them. The visit to Turkey and especially Uftade High School from Usak gave us the opportunity to see how students’ lives improve when they are surrounded by the love and support of the teachers and the parents. I think that the situation in Uftade Lisesi is an example of good practice and we had a lot to learn from it. It was a pleasure to see how Turkish students behave, how teachers and students really communicate, it was impressing to see the involvement of the parents in the school (and after school!) life of the children. Seeing the happiness and the seriosity with which Turkish students treat their school duties and activities was a proof that high education can only be obtained when all parts involved (students-teachers-parents and community) work together and that is for the benefit of the whole society, in the end.”
Flavia Costin, Romania
“I think this project offers the chance to meet and exchange ideas about different ways of life. However, it seems that, as different as they are, education is facing the same problems. In Turkey, as in Estonia and Romania, students feel that there should be a close partnership between parents, school and children for a better education. They think that they need more love, more trust and more openness and honesty. These are the things that we, as participants in this project, have come to understand, use and share. Of course, the project also offers the opportunity to visit and understand the countries and the cultures involved in this project, but the activities provide an insight in the hearts of the people involved. And by seeing the hearts of the people one can ‘see’ the heart of a nation. We can’t say that our meetings will ‘make the world a better place’ , but I know that discussing, sharing, and trying to provide solutions is very important. And, in the end, it is all about these ‘small’ things ( like politeness, honesty, trust, love) that make the difference.
As a conclusion I believe that we should start by asking ‘what can I do to make things better?’ and stop waiting for the others to do something.”
Paivi Aljamaa, Estonia
“This meeting gave us a wonderful possibility to be close to a country we have never been before. We met very warm people, a wonderful school. We had two hardworking days with partners. I’m really surprised how involved the students felt when discussing the issues. I’m very glad that I had the possibility to visit Turkey, your school, meet so nice and kind people, discuss the problems which are important for all of us. These meetings give us better understanding of different cultures and countries, enlarge our world. There is so much to learn from each other and share ideas. Thank you very much for your hospitality. Hope to meet many of you in Estonia in autumn. I think you are all wonderful. Welcome to Estonia!”
Maris Laats, Estonia
“These days were fantastic!
I like teamwork and I ca clearly see the results of it, being here.
Our partners have done so much. Thank you for that!
Turkish school and teachers and students are so kind, friendly.
Special thanks to Mariana!”
Marian Maeats, Estonia
“I’m really happy right now.
I like Turkey very much, the life in here is different and at the same time very interesting to me. The people here are very kind and I met a lot of new people and I have now new friends.
The project is very useful because I think every child will be happy when their parents visit the school and they actively take part in all sorts of activities.
Here I like very much the school, it’s very big and the way teachers give lessons is interesting.
I’m glad to be here and I like Turkey very much.”
Silje Vokksepp, Estonia
“This project is the first project I have been involved. It’s really exciting to be in Turkey and see this country. This project is good because children, teachers and parents relationships are one of the biggest problem in the world. They don’t cooperate enough. I’m very happy to be involved in this project because I can help finding a solution to the problem. The main problems are the lack of cooperation and not being involved. I’m glad that I came to Turkey.”
Betul Uzun, Turkey
“This project is so important and beautiful. Because family support is important for high quality in education. I learnt a lot of things in the project. I’m very happy to be here, to win new friend, to meet different cultures. My student-partner is so friendly, she has a good communication with my family. Thank you for being sincere.”
Dilruba Kazanci, Turkey
“I am very happy because the project is very good and very interesting. The project is successful. I love ROMANIA and ESTONIA. This project is useful. We share something cultural. I learnt new word (TERE!). I learned ESTONIAN and ROMANIAN traditional food and clothes and words. I love everybody. I want to go to ESTONIA AND ROMANIA. I will miss them….
I want them to come back again……..
NICE TO MEET YOU!”
Betul Badakal, Turkey
“The project is very beautiful and interesting. I’m very happy. I’m glad to participate in the project. This is very good. They are very friendly. We had a good relationship.
I met a different person and I met a different traditional culture. This way we can improve English. I hope to see each other again real soon!”
Busra Minareci, Turkey
“This project is very useful and important. I’m very happy. Because I’m very glad to participate in this project. We had a good relationship.
I see your happiness and that makes me happy too. I hope to see each other again. In this way I can improve my English.”
Elif Nur Kogak, Turkey
“This project is useful because the family is very important for education. I love Romanian and Estonian students and teachers very much. We shared cultural ideas and I learnt Estonian and Romanian traditional food and clothes and words. I like Silje. I’m very happy that different students and teachers came to Turkey. I want them to come back again. They are very friendly and sweet and their English is very good. My English is not very good but in this way I can improve my English and I want to go to Romania and Estonia. I will miss them.”
Emine Gunkor, Turkey
“I think this is a very beautiful and successful project. Because there are different people, interesting cultures and interesting ideas in this project. I’m very happy and very lucky
I met you.
I love you very much. I have never been to Romania before. So, I want to visit Romania.
Especially, I love Marianne.
Romanian girls and Estonian girls are very nice and sweet. Everybody is friendly. I’m very happy.
I want them to come back again.”
