The activities began at 9  o’clock a.m. in the library of “Mihai Eminescu” High-school, with a debate on the topic “School-Family-Community”. The participants tried to identify the problems that keep the parents away from children’s school life and in the same time they drew the portrait of the ideal teacher and of the ideal relationship between parents and children. The students’ opinions,  moderated and guided by psychologist Sanda Farcas and by the teachers Mariana Hudrea, Ioan Tiplea and Laura Szebeni, tried to identify different sources of conflicts between the parties  involved in education (children- parents; teachers- students etc.) and they also tried to give solution for a better connection and relationship between all the factors responsible for education.

After the lunch break the whole working team was reunited to work on the common questionnaires. They were created following the line of the debate , which was a very good starting point for those questions meant to collect important data for the project.

After three hours of constructive discussions, three questioners were ready: one for the teachers, one addressed   to the parents and one for the students.

November 16th 2007

The working team reunited in the library of Mihai Eminescu National College for the final presentation of the questioners created the day before. There were made some last moment changes and then the teachers and the pupils agreed on the final form of them.

After that, the foreign guests from Estonia and Turkey visited the school and attended  some classes.

In the afternoon it was the  time for the feed-back. All the students and the teachers involved in the project were invited to say some words about this first project reunion and after that they were invited to write some impressions too, to be presented on the Blog of the project: http://schoolandfamily.blogspot.com .

The conclusion after interpreting the feed-back is that those who took part in the activities from the first project reunion were very satisfied with what happened these days.

The pupils felt that they had a contribution in improving the things in this important matter related to the project and they are optimistic about the results of the project and about the contribution of it in their education.

All the participants were glad to take part in the project.

They thought they learned a lot of new things. They improved their skill in working in teams. They found out about differences between cultures but also about similarities.

They also improved their communication skills in English.
